Sales Director (Financial Markets)

US Remote | Chicago Metro - Hybrid

Our client, a legal technology start-up, uses AI to deliver reference-backed answers and allows the generation of legal and regulatory clauses, templates, and policies while drawing from a comprehensive set of quality source materials, enabling clients to reduce their reliance on outside legal counsel and improving trust in legal references.

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive net new logos through direct selling to regulatory compliance, regulatory change, CCO, and General Counsel in Financial Service markets.

  • Become expert in regulated industries where legal, compliance and regulatory workflows are a requirements.

  • Cover named accounts and build strong executive level relationships to strategically position company service offerings.

  • Lead and manage each stage of a complex sales process

  • Articulate the company vision and product roadmap to create value in the market.

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders (such as sales, channel, marketing, project management, product) and outside the company to ensure alignment and execution.

  • Achieve sales targets.

  • Work with purpose, energy, and agility.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of new business experience in financial enterprise software.

  • Minimum of 5 years exceeding goals in a complex sales environment, ideally in financial services and/or other regulated industries.

  • A network of compliance and legal contacts at SMB money lenders, hedge funds, private equity, asset managers, and sell/buy-side financial institutions.

  • Demonstrated and referenceable success closing $100K enterprise agreements in a competitive market.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and competitive market with elongated sales cycles.

  • Proven track record of delivering performance against YoY revenue target growth.

  • Operates well under-pressure as well as being results oriented. A “Can-Do” personality.

  • Adaptability: Demonstrates persistence to overcome obstacles. Fast learner and works well independently.

  • Self-starter with high level of personal and professional integrity.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary of $150K

  • Estimated OTE of $300K
